National Research Focus Meeting of The SCDAC/AAFC was Exceedingly Successful!

March 31st 2017 was a day like none other in Toronto as Canadian scientists, clinicians, advocates, patients and parents with sickle cell disease (SCD) met with one focus- to determine as well as push forward the Canadian SCD Research Agenda. The elaborate meeting lasted 7.5 hours with panel discussions and focus group deliberations. We are grateful to the Canadian researchers, clinicians, families and the industry including Novartis Canada for supporting the 1st National Sickle Cell Disease Research Focus Meeting. Folks attended from every Canadian province- and we are truly impressed by the show of interest in the national SCD research. Thank you!.
